Mackay Idaho is located West of Idaho Falls off of US highway 93 in Custer County. The town is pronounced “Mackie” with the accent on the first syllable. Elevation is about 5,900 ft above mean seal level (MSL).
Mackay is a wonderful site for off-road riding, with both jeep, UTV and ATV width trials. The trail system interconnects for miles. You can see more at https://trails.idaho.gov/
We came up for the Idaho Off-road Stamped which we attend all over the state. Mackay if full of historic mine buildings and the town has put together a nice trial system with signs, markers and historic information placards.
